Despite what a certain dishonest and corrupted scientist testified to the US congress last Monday (under oath) the earth has continued to warm over the last decade. NOAA and NASA found that 2010 tied with 2005 as the warmest year on record (yeah, that NASA, the one that brought us to the moon, sends robots to Mars, etc=pretty smart people).

That doesn’t mean the warming was uniform or that 2010 was especially warm everywhere. Parts of northwestern and north central Europe were cooler than average and 2010 was especially warm in the arctic above North America and over greenland (an ominous trend if you are worried about sea level rise). 
The scary factoids from the NASA report:
Combined global land and ocean annual surface temperatures for 2010 tied with 2005 as the warmest such period on record at 1.12 F (0.62 C) above the 20th century average.
Global ocean surface temperatures for 2010 tied with 2005 as the third warmest on record, at 0.88 F (0.49 C) above the 20th century average.
[And even in] the contiguous United States, 2010 was the 14th consecutive year with an annual temperature above the long-term average. Since 1895, the temperature across the nation has increased at an average rate of approximately 0.12 F per decade.
